Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Do you hear what I hear? It sounds like the end of this crazy year is officially here. It’s Christmas Day, and presumably everyone was on the Nice List this year and has woken up to tons of presents from Santa.
In all seriousness, you made it! Have you had a good year? I hope you said yes, but I know that some of us have had some hard times. Sometimes, just making it to the end of the year is enough to put us on the Nice List. New Year’s Day is approaching, and so is the ever-present pressure to make our resolutions for next year.
“I’m gonna lose ten pounds.”
“I’m gonna finally read that book that’s been sitting on my shelf for a year.”
Honestly? Resolutions have always felt daunting to me. I don’t like to set goals, because I may not hit them, and then it feels like I’ve failed. But looking back at this past year and all the good and the beauty that has come from determined people having a vision and executing it, it’s made me realize that sometimes goals are allowed to change while you’re hitting them. It’s okay for your year to not look the way you planned. You didn’t fail; you changed your plans.
So this year, I have a resolution. I am going to want things, and I am going to be okay with that. One year from now will be one year from now whether we’re reaching for a goal or not. Why not reach?
As this year comes to a close, I knew I wanted to include pictures from some of our favorite moments of 2024 at Glass Tangerine, and I asked everyone to send me their favorites. I hope you enjoy our trip down memory lane through photos. What was your favorite memory from this year? What are you going to reach for in 2025?
Memory Lane
I hope you enjoyed these as much as we do.
